What parents are saying

This season has been fantastic for our son August. Yes, he’s dropped time, but the bigger change is who he’s becoming as a runner. Coach Williams has built a culture where kids believe in themselves, compete hard, and hold each other accountable, and August has bought in completely. He has a new fire and motivation, and he’s genuinely excited to go to practice and to meets. Coach isn’t just making these kids faster; he’s shaping their mindset, and that will carry well beyond the course. Thank you, Coach!

We can't say enough good things about Todd Williams or his camp. Our son Mason attended the Monroe Cross Country Club camp this past summer, and the positivity and energy he brings radiates to the kids, and it pushes them to want to work harder, mentally and physically. His intentions are pure to help every kid get better, regardless of the school they attend, and he genuinely cares about helping each one become the best athlete/teammate they can be. Not only did Mason become a stronger runner and person, he made friends from different schools, which made the camp even more fun. We highly recommend this camp next summer for all athletes just trying to improve.

We’ve had a great experience with Monroe Cross Country Club! Coach Williams is excellent! He pushes the kids to work hard, challenges them to be their best, and brings out their full potential. He teaches them the importance of hard work, dedication, and never giving up. It’s been great watching my daughter improved over the past couple of years ❤️ THANK YOU for all you do for our community!!!!

Monroe Cross Country Club was a great experience for Logan and our family. Throughout the summer, I watched him build endurance, confidence, and discipline while being surrounded by kids who encouraged and pushed each other to improve. Todd created an environment where athletes of all ages and abilities could challenge themselves, have fun, and feel like part of a team. I also had the opportunity to help coach throughout the summer, which gave me an even greater appreciation for the time and effort that went into making the program successful. We're grateful for the experience and look forward to coming back next year!

Another fantastic experience! This was our second summer with the Monroe Cross Country Club, and my three kids (two 10-year-olds and a 7-year-old) loved it. Coach Todd Williams does an incredible job keeping kids of all ages encouraged and motivated to push their limits. I watched them run farther and drastically improve from start to finish. We love this program and will definitely be back again next year!

Monroe Cross Country Club was a vital part of our son's summer training this year, which helped lead to a personal best time in his first race of the season. Coach Williams is very accommodating and excited to pass his knowledge and experience on to the younger generation of runners in Monroe County. Having the opportunity to have structured workouts with other Monroe County runners was just one of the many positives that Colton took away from the club. Consistency is necessary to success in running. The scheduled workouts provided the opportunity for him to run with others of similar ability through the summer when it is easy to want to skip your workouts. This then translated to him not wanting to miss his easy runs so that he was ready for the hard work with the others in the group. Coach Williams showed how much he cares for the kids by not only encouraging each of them, but also structuring workouts to compliment where each kid was at, from the new runners to the experienced runners, and also listening to them and adjusting as necessary if something was going on physically. If you want to up your game for the next cross-country season, we would recommend you check out Monroe Cross Country Club this coming summer.

We knew our son had a gift for running, finding some success fairly early on in his years of competition, and had a solid year of freshman competition. So when we heard he had the chance to train with Todd over the summer I was very excited, As expected Todd pushed the requirement of consistent, hard work and how showing up and always giving your best effort is a requirement. The bigger and unexpected outcome was the belief developed about what is possible for a young athlete if they're willing to do those things. Our son's change in perspective of what is possible, after seeing his efforts through an Olympian and past national champion's perspective has been priceless. Comparing milestones on the path from Freshman Runner to National Champion inspired him to believe that if he put's the work in those things are certainly possible. The best part of the past two summers has been how wide of a variety of starting abilities have participated and greatly improved. Looking forward to getting our younger kids involved. Parent of a Club Athlete

Having Evie and Cruz participate in Coach Todd Williams' Monroe It's Time To Run Summer Club was an incredible experience! It's about so much more than running. Coach Todd teaches kids hard work, discipline, confidence, and believing in themselves.

To have our children learn from a two-time Olympian, Olympic Trials Champion, USA Cross Country Champion, NCAA Champion, and State Champion right here in Monroe is an amazing opportunity.

He's not just developing better runners, he's helping build better kids!

The philosophy

We want the right kids, not the most kids.

You don’t have to be the fastest. You don’t have to be the most experienced. But you need to want to be here.

This isn’t babysitting or just logging miles. Athletes learn discipline, consistency, goal setting, how to handle discomfort, and what it means to work toward something they want.

We’re not trying to build the biggest club.

We’re trying to build the right one.
